MTV’s “The Challenge” Star Cory Wharton is reflecting on one year of one of the barest challenges for his family!!
Cory took to Instagram to let fans know that it has been one year since his daughters heart surgery.
He shared:
“Today, marks 1 Year from Maya’s Open Heart Surgery ❤️
I learned so much throughout that process. One of the biggest things is health is wealth, I don’t care how much money you have. It all means NOTHING if you’re not healthy. It put a lot of things into perspective watching the kids in the Children’s Hospital day in & day out walk around the hospital with a smile on their face & laughing no matter what situation they are in. Really made me look into my life and what’s important. I learned that I have a great support system around me, and most importantly, a great partner in this.
Maya, I know that was a dark time in our lives, but you got through it. We are FIGHTERS !! We have one last open heart surgery to go in about a year from now & then you should be good to go 🙏🏽 Just want to say thank you to the CHD community for all the messages & DM‘s that we’ve received & anybody else going through it. I just want to tell you that it’s a storm that will pass! You will get through it I promise! Happy Heartiversary ❤️ My Lil red head, Love you more then you’ll ever know 😘”

Such an amazing father! Love this. Keep going!
